Skirting around ...

These are the skirts that I made with Beth's "assistance" last Friday. They were very simple and easy. Amazing what a bit of trim and a pocket can do!This is a more detailed shot of the outside of the pocket.
And of the inside. I seem to be lining everything with red gingham at the moment.
This is the trim at the bottom of Beth's.
And at the bottom of Alice's - thanks Marianne for the cute pink cherry ribbon trim.

And there you have it. Two little girl's skirts. One straight rectangle, with a gathered longer piece attached. Easy peasy.

Beautiful. Saw tiered, gathered skirts up in the Dandenongs today for $70! The fabrics were nowhere near as pretty as yours.

They're adorable, and the skirts aren't so bad either. The trim turns cute into gorgeous. Well done, you.

too cute! I can't buy gingham anywhere for love nor money! Perth has no decent fabric shops anymore. tks for comment left on my pencil roll and thanks for the link, I can see a little sewing technique on hers that I will give a try. I tried to find one on loobylu some time back that didn't have a roll over top and had a bias trim which was too cute but couldn't find it. Will send if I track it down. good luck.

I love the navy and pink/red combo - so fresh. I can see why you might be looking for a plain LS navy Tee, perfect for these. And yes that cherry trim is a perfect match- what luck! If you have time, I have a project- in -planning that you might want ( ie I'm hoping you'll want to and have time to ) to join in....
